---A resource for dreamwork and dreamsharing on the internet

Indigenous people, shamans, priests, seers and seekers of every race and religion look to dreams for guidance in the lives of individuals, their communities and society as a whole. The intention of The Dream Line website is to follow in this tradition by providing dreams, commentaries and support to the many people interested in dreamlife as an abundant and generative source of information about positive directions for personal and social change on Earth..

Working with dreams is like navigating on the ocean.   Travelling along on the depths of the sea by boat is like travelling on the depths of the the unconscious via the dream. And just as the vast and mysterious depths of the ocean determine the survival of life on the planet, the waters of the unconscious are a determinant in the fertility and nourishment of our individual lives and our cultures.  On the vast sea, we touch the surface and move on. It is the same in dreamworking on the ocean of the unconscious.  So much information is available to us in dreams that often it is difficult to know where to start. So just as a sea-going captain needs tools of navigation, so does the dreamer need tools in order to draw from the sea of the unconscious those elements that nourish the individual life, the life of the community, and the liveliness and sense of hope in the world.

We find the tools in the dreams themselves.  Dreams tell us where we are located and which way we are facing, just as a compass and sextant give a position and heading to the ocean navigator. Once we have our position in the dream, we can set a course.  A navigator on the ocean does this by setting the position on a chart and extrapolating a line of travel using some basic instruments. In dreamworking, a combination of images from mythology and dreams create the instrument that keeps the dreamer moving along the correct course.  The individual human and the collective culture benefit from navigating by the dream, if the information provided by dreams is carefully and consistently given attention and maintenance.  Dreams have the power to activate both individual and cultural movement and change, and have a wide variety of potentiating elements, as does any navigational instrument.  For example, laying a course on the ocean can take a navigator right into a hurricane if weather patterns are ignored.  Ethical ramifications of any individual or societal change are not only a matter to be thought of after the basic instrumentation of the dream takes us to a destination.  Refinement of the journey is necessary. It is critically important to pay attention to dream elements that will cause large disruptions in both the individual and the culture if activated. Fortunately, guidance regarding these elements and their effects is readily available in the dreams and mythologies as well.

This site includes information About Dreamrosz, your contact person on The Dream Line. If you Ask Dreamrosz for information regarding a dream, you will receive feedback that will help you to find your present location in the sea of dreams and suggest ways that you can set the course for further work with your dreams. Your dream may appear in The Dream Line Log with her comments, your insights, or mythological references, serving as an resource and inspiration for other dreamers.  As dreams accumulate in the Log, they will gradually become the basis of a dream archive, in which dreams and information will be cross-referenced and made retrievable by image and subject. Information is also provided about Solo Navigating,  and Ship-to-Shore communication with Dreamrosz.
